ART IN SEWING [BEYOND THE SILKS, AND THE YEARS OF TECHNIQUE - AT THE END OF THE DAY - EVERYTHING BEGINS WITH A NEEDLE. BUT NOT JUST ANY... ]
If you only use one tool, one lone instrument to create your product it has to be the best and, without equal, the world’s best needles are made by Prym. Prym is Germany’s oldest family-owned company with a history that dates back to 1530. In short, they’ve been perfecting their needles for well over 400 years. As with any art, subtlety and variation is what separates greatness from mediocrity. Our silks, be them china, satin, or chiffon have different densities and weights. If we take our silk selections so seriously, it was only natural to be mindful when selecting the proper needle for each variation. Some needles are longer, some are shorter. Some thicker and heavier, some thinner and lighter. When dealing with the delicateness of silk it’s extremely important to use a needle that suits and responds to the fabric’s gentler nature. Prym’s diverse line of sewing needles, the world’s finest, were a direct complement to our pursuit of perfection.
